Eating for weight loss

In order to lose weight, you need to burn calories. So you need your body to be a fat and calorie-burning machine. You can rev up your metabolism with exercise for sure, but if you don’t eat right, nothing will change overall. You can tone it up, but getting rid of stubborn fat takes a little finesse. First is portion control. Our portions nowadays are tremendous and far too much for good health. But the balance of what you eat is important too. You need to make sure you start each day with some protein and some carbs. You need a little fat to round it out too. This will help your body become a fat-burning machine. You can make it an important part of your morning self care routine.

Why do we need protein for breakfast

Protein for breakfast helps you succeed by fighting cravings, keeping you full longer, and giving you the energy to move. If you have a carb-based breakfast, you won’t be able to sustain the energy you get from the carbs. Carbohydrates give you a burst of energy, but if you eat them alone, it doesn’t last. You’ll have a high and then a big dip in energy and that’s not productive for your day. But the balance keeps your energy and blood sugar level and your metabolism running at top performance so you can burn the calories you take in and lose weight if that’s what your body needs. And there are diet changes that help you have more energy.
